Náměty na pokusy a pozorování vodních živočichů ve školním akváriu XXVI (chov sladkovodních polypovců)

abstrakt

Ve vodách České republiky se z kmene žahavců (Cnidaria) vyskytují nezmaři (Hydroida) a medúzka sladkovodní, patřící do skupiny Limnomedusae (čeleď Olyndiidae). Nezmaři mají tělo radiálně souměrné, tvořené dvojvrstevnou láčkou a jediným přijímacím a současně vyvrhovacím otvorem, kolem něhož vyrůstají chapadlovitá ramena podle druhu v počtu 4–12 a také lišící se délkou. Vnitřní nedělená gastrovaskulární dutina zasahuje až do chapadel. U nezmarů (Hydra sp.) je medúzové stádium potlačeno, u medúzky sladkovodní (Craspedacusta sowerbii) se objevuje jak stádium polypa (se zakrnělými chapadly), tak i hydromedúzy. Pro obě skupiny je charakteristická přítomnost žahavých buněk (nematocyst) v povrchové vrstvě těla. Polypovci se živí drobnými korýši, jako jsou buchanky či perloočky, ale mohou zdolat i větší živočichy, a dokonce poškodit i rybí plůdek. Medúzka sladkovodní je odděleného pohlaví, stejně jako většina druhů nezmarů. Rozmnožují se pohlavně i nepohlavně pučením. Nezmaři jsou známí svou vysokou regenerační schopností. Článek přináší náměty na různá pozorování a experimenty s nezmary, zejména s ohledem na reakci na různé podněty a příjem potravy.
